Hollywood, CA- The diminutive Prince of Parody who brought us such inspired cinematic classics as Spaceballs and Robin Hood: Men in Tights has reportedly started production of his latest opus, Gesundheit 9-11 which is a mockumentary-style spoof of Michael Moore’s controversial Fahrenheit 9-11. The film is a tongue-in-cheek chronicle of the events that surrounded Adolf Hitler’s infamous Third Reich and its involvement in the Second World War.
It is rumored that either stranger than fiction comedian Louie Anderson or irritating patter writer Bruce Vilanche will be starring as fat-boy documentarian Mikey Morenstein who will be casually strolling around Nazi Germany and needling members of the evil regime to give reasons for their actions during the lead-up to and actual engagement period of the “war to end all wars”. Richard Lewis is slated to star as the neurotic and quirky Adolf Hitler complete with knee-high bloused trousers, Charlie Chaplin mustache and the insane charisma that allowed for his meteoric rise to power. Brooks has been holding many of the specifics of the film close to the vest, but Treebune.com has learned that it will showcase many Brooks conventions such as a five-minute fart scene, which takes place during a strategy meeting between Hitler, Himler and Mengela, humorous Yiddish phrases and cut away scenes in which Morenstein directly addresses the audience as though there has been some type of mishap with the script. Brooks claims that he had been waiting “for quite some time” for someone to make a popular, political, documentary film so he would have the appropriate fodder to cast a funny light on the Third Reich since he is all but incapable of making a movie based solely on his own creative genius. According to Brooks, when Michael Moore’s incendiary Fahrenheit 9-11 hit theaters, he knew that he finally had his chance to capitalize on the work of another filmmaker. “Plus” says Brooks, “it was really easy to pair it with a comical, German title…I couldn’t have asked for anything ‘Moore’…tee-he, he, he.” Michael Moore, who is notorious for taking himself far too seriously, is said to be outraged by Brooks’ usurping, and holds that his movie and its message are “way too heavy and important to be made light of.” Those close to Moore feel that he isn’t angry so much because Brooks is making a spoof of his “world changing” movie, but rather, because he will be played by either a former Family Feud host or an androgynous patter writer who has been a regular fixture on Hollywood Squares. Moore reportedly has a pretty thin skin over his meaty frame and is quite touchy about his appearance or any attempt to make fun of the same. |
